Residence project in Thiruvananthapuram, Rudraksha
Rudraksha is a house built for Mr. Vishnu Chandran who is a UI/UX Designer , his wife, his son, parents and grandparents. The challenge was to design a three bedroom house in a narrow rectangular plot of 4 cents which faces 3m road. The design is done in such a way that the land topography, which is linear and narrow, would not affect the aesthetics or functionality of the residence and it fulfills the client requirements to 100{ad55ee59121344755610d9709deac239b892116e9f1377d77dc9146f166be275}. Care was taken to make the house look more spacious. The planning is done in a modern pattern and the exposed brick finish on the exterior and the sloping roof gave a traditional touch and thus the house is a blend of tradition and modernism! Rat trap bond construction method used helped save cost, and helped the residence be eco friendly. The same pattern of movement of their previous home was demanded by the client and it is achieved as well in this tropical modern house.
